"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

attention to it. Please accept my sincere apologies. In bringing this
message of Goodwill to you,

My name is Mr.JERRY KABILA, the first son of the second wife of late Laurent
Kabila President of Congo DRC who was assassinated on the 16th of January
2001 by one of his military aides. I managed to get your contact details
through “The World Business Journal”, a journal of the Johannesburg Chamber
of Commerce in South Africa, I was desperately looking for a trustworthy
person to assist me in this confidential business.

my father forsaw that such will happen to him he shared his wealth among the
three wives after the death of my father the lawyer brought the (will) and
my father said in the will,I have for you jerry the sum of $20 million
dollars which i deposited for you in the security company in johannessburg
south africa use the money and take good care of your mother and your two
sisters

I am currently and temporarily living in Johannesburg as asylum ( refugee )
I am having difficulty of
getting the money out of South Africa because the South African monetary
policy is not favorable to
people like myself who have no permanent residence status.

Moreover the political climate in South Africa at the moment being so
sensitive and unstable,
investing here would only limit my chances and reduce my opportunities.

In acknowledgment of executive powers and the various business,
opportunities in your country, I am requesting your assistance in helping me
transfer this money in your personal or business account. After the transfer
is accomplished, I will then join you in your copuntry for subsequent
investments there. For your assistance in this transaction, I and my family
agreed to offer you 25% of the total sum of the money for assistance and 5%
for any expenses you incur during this transaction.

If you need further details concerning this business, please do not hesitate
to contact me on my direct mobile phone number +27-83-952-0543 or the above
e-mail address , and again i want you to bear in mind that all the
documents that back up this money will be available to you on request.I must
then emphasize that this transaction is highly confidential ,If this
