"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir / Ma,

It is pertinent to note that this email will come to you as a surprise,at
this season and I do apologise for any nconveniences that it might cause
you. But however, I am SENATOR MUSA ISSA ANTU.The(Chairman)SENATE COMMITTEE
ON FOREIGN CONTRACT MATTERS & DEBT RECONCILLIATION BUREAU of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria. I have considered it necessary to intimate you on a
lucrative deal/business which I believe will be of great interest to both
of us, hence it involves fortune.

I am writing to you based on a Contract awarded to Bon & Eric Gmbh of Germany
in the year 1999, which its Beneficiary, Engineer JOHN HANS rightfully
executed and completed under the category 'C' contract panel of the Nigerian
Govt. This contract in question was for the supply and Maintainance of
the Petroleum Pipe-line of the Nigeria National Petroleum orporation(NNPC)at
KADUNA REFINERY, and it was awarded to the tune of US$31,500,000.00 (Thirty
One Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars)only, and it is
unfortunate that the rightful beneficiary Engineer JOHN HANS was involved
in the last Plane Crash in Nigeria which also claimed the lives of many
prominent officials of the Nigerian Government.

However, consequent to the Federal Government Irrevocable Order to the NNPC,
to Approve the payments of all delayed executed contract fund to their
rightful beneficiaries, after satisfactory evidence that such contract was
duely executed and commissioned. But coincidentally it occured that his
contract payment was approved and the fund is still lying unclaimed and
was amongst the approved payment that have been scheduled for transfer at
the Central Bank of Nigeria for prompt remmitance.

As a matter of fact, I want to bring you into this transaction So that you
can be in place of his business associate and the Chairman of his Subsidiary
Company, so that the Central Bank will release the funds in your favour, after
which I can meet you any where in the world for the disbursement accordingly.

I will use my elevated veto position to secure all the relevant documents
pertinent to back up this transfer.I only want your name to be used in shiffting
this money out of Nigeria ,or else it will be deposited into the account
of federal Republic of Nigeria as unclaimed payment. Please be fast about
this.

I envisaged this as a great opportunity for me to gather wealth before my
anticipated retirement from civil service job. Note that your expeditious
response to this matter will be appreciated or else this fund will be declared
to the federal government of nigeria as un-claimed floating fund and thereafter
lodge into the federal government treasury If no one applys for its claim.

Finally, I am assuring you that this transaction is 100% risk free, inasmuch
as you will adhere to my wise advice and directive, note that as soon as
you confirm your willingness to this proposal, I will not hesitate to inform
you of the procedures and how to advance to the claim of this contract entitlement.

Hoping to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Thanks and God Bless.

Yours faithfully,

SENATOR MUSA ISSA
