"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT MESSAGE.

Dear Friend,


My name is Mr. Alfred Heinz . I am a staff with Global Finance, a
finance firm based in UK-LONDON. I am contacting you in respect of our client

Mr Mike Michelle who died in a motor accident on the kumasi / Accra road

on 28th of August 2002.Mr Mike Michelle was an Oil Merchant and a sucessful
businessman.


He has been living in Ghana since 1991 and he has been our most reliable
client since then.Before his death, he had a deposit of $3.4 million
dollars with our finance firm which he was to transfer to Ghana through our

firm before his death.


We have conducted a search with the help of several chambers of commerce
with no positive result. This is why I have decided to contact you to have
you presented to my firm as the next of Kin and also I will give you the
contact informations as regards this funds.


Meanwhile, I am a junior staff in this firm and I want us to handle this
in a very confidential manner such that my coleagues will never have a slight
ideal that you are not the real next of Kin to late Mr.Mike Michelle. I
