"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Urgent Business Investment from Africa

Dear sir,
It is my sincere gratitude to acquaint you of this proposal for the purpose
of investment in your good country. I am Mahlambe Themba the first son of
late Major Paul Themba who was killed in a military coup that happed in my
country 1997, I got your contact through a friend who has worked with his
country foreign mission. Sequence to my zeal towards foreign investment and
also for the security of my possession, I therefore write to give you a
breakdown of this proposal.

My father was the personal confidant to the president of Sierra-Leone (ALH.
TEJAN KABBAH) who was pushed out of office by a military coup carried out by
disgruntled soldiers in 1997 that killed my father as he was tried to
protect the President. However, when these soldiers stroked, his Excellency
was forced to run into Guinea Conakry on exile, some of his closest aids
left for some other countries, while my mother decided we move to Cote
D?Ivoire with our family and the treasure, containing a total sum of
US$23,000,000.00 (Twenty Three Million Dollars) with some diamonds which was
part of the consignment left under my father’s control within the
Presidential mansion where he was then in charge of security.

With the help of an Ivorian farmer, we were able to move our properties to
Abidjan. When We arrived Abidjan in 1998, my mother immediately deposited
the treasure into a private security company for safe keeping, since we
cannot open a bank account with our name as we are seeking for political
asylum then, also we do not want anyone to know that we have money with us.

Right now I am seeking for a PARTNER who shall serve as the GUARDIAN of this
fund with whom I can plan the best way to move this money for investment
purposes, which is my motive for contacting you, to be able to actualize
this project. You are required to assist in the following manners.

1) You shall be required to provide a good bank account where the money
would be transferred and where taxation will not take many tolls on the
money.
2) You shall serve as the GENERAL OVERSEER and GUARDIAN of this fund and all
investment thereafter.
3) To assist in providing my immediate family and I a permanent residential
permit in your country after the money must have transferred to your bank
account.
For these services a suitable PERCENTAGE (%) will be mapped out for you if
you are willing to help my family in this matter. Having stated the above
clearly I expect to receive your urgent response, as I have made up my mind
not to have this transaction delay anymore. If you are willing to help me
kindly reply me by E-mail themba30@hotmail.com

Yours Sincerely,
Mahlambe Themba.
NB: please note that President TEJAN KABBAH has since been reinstalled back
as the President of Sierra Leone by ECOMOG and U.N soldiers, and has since
announce that the war is over but we do not have any intention whatsoever to
return back there.
