"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: urgent response needed

Dear Sir,
All protocols and respects observed.
I crave your indulgence as I contact you in such a
surprising manner knowing fully well that this business
transaction might not fall within the spectrum of your
business activities, but I plead your assistance, since
your co-operation is needed.
My name is DR.laz abubakar I am the personal assistant /
confidential secretary to Mr. Ghassan Shayeb. I worked
with
him for two weeks before he traveled to Benin Republic
enroute Beirut for holidays with his niece Rita Shayeb
Fadoul and two others Michael Fadoul and Mrs. Jaqueline
Herve - Fadoul. Unfortunately, they never returned from
the
journey.
I sent a search party, which later confirmed that they are
among the victims of the UTA Flight 141 that crashed in
Cotonou, Benin Republic on Christmas day killing more than
130 people.
You can read more news about the crash by visiting this
site :

Since then, his bank has written to me to forward his next
of kin since the niece and two others whom he used
initially are all dead. Facts from the last notice, which
the bank sent to me, said that they (The Bank) will soon
post the account to pool account as unclaimed or dormant
account, if I cannot bring a next of kin.
I am using this medium to solicit to you to come forward
and act as his next of kin. I plead for your assistance
with the intention of getting this unclaimed money
transferred into a company or private bank account that
you
will present. I will not contact any other company or
person until I am convinced that you are not interested in
this proposal.
No other person knows about this account or any thing
concerning it, the account has no beneficiary and my
investigations proved to me as well that the account is a
secret account because Mr.Ghassan Shayeb signed a
Non-disclosure agreement with the bank at that time. I am
revealing this to you with the believe that you will agree
to work with me.
The request for you as beneficiary in this business is
occasioned by the fact that Mr. Shayeb was a foreigner and
a West African cannot stand as beneficiary to the account.
If you will assist me in doing this, indicate urgently so
that we can discuss on the sharing ratio and I will supply
the full details of the transaction to you.
I am giving you the assurance that this transaction will
not have any adverse effect to your person and business
life.
As his personal secretary, I have all necessary legal
documents that can be used to back up any claim we may
make. All I require is your honest co-operation to enable
us seeing this deal through.
I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate
arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the
law.
Please get in touch with me on my private email address:
lazabubakar30@yahoo.com so that we can discuss further.
Best regard
DR.laz abubakar (or
