"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: URGENT BUSINESS ASSISTANCE

Dear Sir/Madam ,

URGENT BUSINESS ASSISTANCE

Good day!I know that this message will come to you as a surprise since we
don’t know each other before, but for purpose of introduction,I am MR DOMSON
KABILA the special military adviser to the late president Laurent Kabila of
the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC).I wish to commence a very confidential
business with you involving the transfer of US$27.5M(TWENTY SEVEN MILLION
FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATE DOLLARS ONLY)into your account.

I have to reveal to you based on the fact that I could relly on you, that
at the height of the crisis in my country ,the president Laurent
Kabila, assigned me to Republic of South Africa to purchase some arms and
ammunition from independent arms dealers to combat the tutsis rebels from
Goma in the northern part of the country.

Due to the way the rebels were equiped with heavy ammunitions, and for the
fact that they were backed up by the government of our neighboring
countries, Uganda and Rwanda respectively, who were protesting against the
non-availability of late Mr Kabila to implement transition to civil rule,as
this was what he had promised before he toppled Mobutu, who died of heart
attack in Morocco.

Unfortunately,on my arrival to South Africa the news broke out that our
president has been short dead by one of his (A.D.C)I seized the opportunity
to divert the fund to my personal use and deposited the safe box containing
the money in a Security and Finance Company as valuable items.I did not
disclose the real content of the box to the Security Company.

Now,I am soliciting your assistance to enable me transfer this fund into
your account for safe keeping pending on when i will come over there for the
sharing and investment. In fact, your support and assistance towards this
transaction will be highly appreceated. As I have agreed to give you 25%of
the total sum involved for your assistance,65%will be for my investment in
your country,10%will be set aside to offset any local and international
expenses that may be incurred in the course of this transaction.

Remember that this transaction needs absolute secrecy and confidentiality to
avoid jeopardising the fund by the present government of South Africa, where
I am seeking refuge.Note also that it is 100% risk free except otherwise you
convey it to someone else who might threaten the image.

Note :Please, As I await your reply,be informed that all communication in
respect of this transaction shall be through the above telephone and this
new e-mail:(domson2kabila@hotmail.com)
.I will also need your private telephone, fax numbers for easy
communication.

BEST REGARDS,

MR DOMSON KABILA.
