"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: "THOMAS & ROSELINE REEVES FOUNDATION".

Dear Friend,

Kindly accept my apologies for contacting you by
e-mail. First of all permit me to employ this medium
to introduce myself. I am Lady Roseline Thomas Reeves.
I am a 69 year old Briton married to Late Sir Thomas
Reeves from Republic of Wales. My husband and I migrated
to South Africa in early seventies, and naturalized there
in 1980.

We were engaged in export of gold, diamond and
precious stones. We equally diversified into real
estates and acquired eleven estates in Africa and
United Kingdom. My husband died in 1986. We had no
children from our 35 years the marriage.

To be modest, my late husband and I had assets valued
at USD150 Million and after the death of my husband, I
tried to nurture our business empire for several
years.

At the moment, I am suffering from a terminal disease
(Throat Cancer). Besides, I have been diagnosed to be
suffering from leukaemia. I have been bed-ridden for
several years now inspite of the fact that I could
afford the best therapy money can buy.

After taking a deep reflection of my life on earth, I
decided to get close to God and mend my ways, as every
passing moment reminds me that I could die.

I decided to set aside the huge sum of money realized
from the sales of my family estates in Africa for
charity. I am making a willful donation of USD30
Million to enable you start a foundation in honor of
my late husband and I. Could you please bequeath us
a legacy of naming the foundation after us; "THOMAS &
ROSELINE REEVES FOUNDATION".

You were selected from a through search of contact
e-mail addresses, which I personally downloaded from
the internet as the only thing I do to be happy is to
browse through the internet on my laptop hence I can
not talk again.

Please, I urge you to use this fund wisely and
strictly for the purpose.

As soon as you confirm your willingness to accept this
fund and commence work on this project, by sending
your full names, contact address, telephone and fax
numbers, age, sex, occupation and maritial status, I
will instruct an accreditated attorney handling my
family estates to commence the legal proceedures that
will empower you to claim the funds.

The funds are clean, and deviod of any incumberances.
All beneficiaries should adhere strictly to the
existing laws for fund transfer in nation where the
fund is originating from. You should feel free to
discuss this in details with the attorney.

I am currently staying in a private hospital in Wales.

I guess I have to stop here, the pains are getting
worse.

May God bless you.

Sincerely

Roseline Thomas Reeves.
