Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Subject: ONLINE PART TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY
Hi dear,
My name is Remy Koka, i manage a fast growing company here in the United
Kingdom. We supply raw materials for clothing companies.
Actually i need a representative in the states who can be working for me. I
make alots of supplies to some of our clients in the states which i do come
to the states to recieve payment after i supply them our raw materials, so i
realize that its quite too expensive and stressful for me to be coming to
the states to recieve such payment twice in a month. I am willing to pay you
10% for every money recieved by you from most of my clients.
I am doing this based on trust. Just incase you are concerned about how i
got to contact you, it was through the American Chamber of Commerce for
trust worthiness.
If you agree in doing this part time job please do get back to me with your
contact details and phone number(s) and a brief copy of your curriculum
vitae (Resume) for further interview.
Thank you.
Remy Koka
