"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Window of Opportunity

Good Day

Re: Window of Opportunity

I write to inform you of a window of opportunity that
is open to us at the moment, which if meticulously
executed will catapult all parties to a new financial
level in life.

Let me start by introducing myself properly to you. I
am Julia Morgan, the credit manager of one of the
leading banks here in the United Kingdom. This
transaction entails the transfer of a huge sum of
money from a dormant deceased account requiring
maximum confidentiality, trust and transparency. I am
aware that a mind-boggling business transaction of
this magnitude will make any one apprehensive, worried
and suspicious more so that it is from someone with no
previous business discussions. However, let me assure
you that all these has been taken into consideration
and taken care of accordingly as I am of the belief
that all will be well at the end of the day.

As you may be aware, an Egyptian airline 990 crashed
on October 31, 1999 and among those on board was one
Mr. Gerald Welsh and his beloved wife who both died
along other passengers. The veracity of this claim
that was published by the BBC WORLD NEWS WEBSITE can
be reconfirmed using this link:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/502503.stm

Before his untimely death, I was his accounting
officer and by virtue of that, I am privy to the
credit balance of his account before and after his
demise. Since his death, the bank has made frantic
effort to trace members of his family since his
next-of-kin declared in the banks mandate form is his
wife who unfortunate died along with him. (May their
soul rest in Peace) Thus there is no record of any
heir, either brothers or sisters alive to make claims
for his outstanding balance. .

Now exactly six years after, still no one has come
forward to lay claim to his credit balance. Most
worrisome is the fact that it is obligatory that
outstanding balances of accounts that are dormant from
six years are first transferred into suspense accounts
in the general ledger and later closed and absolved
into the treasury as earnings in the profit and loss
account. This is to the benefit of the bank and the
directors. To me, it is an injustice

Upon this discovery, I decided to capitalize on this
to reap a fortune along with someone whom I can trust
and be entrusted to partner with me in this deal. It
is in this sense that I now seek your permission to
have you stand as the next of kin to the deceased. As
an insider, all documents and documentations will be
carefully worked out by me for the funds to be
released to you according to your request whether in
whole or in installment.

It may interest you to know that I have secured the
services of an attorney who as gone ahead to equally
secure from the probate an order of mandamus to locate
any of the deceased beneficiaries and I will be acting
legally within the confines of the law if I produce
you as the next of kin who is entitled to lay claim to
the credit balance of the account. It is expressly
implied that you must be adequately compensated with ¼
of the total fund after a successful transfer of right
and beneficiary’s status to you. I will let you know
the exact credit balance of this account only if I am
sure that you are in this deal with me. If you belief
we can work this out together, then contact the
attorney via Jeffery_tucker@katamail.com or his cell
phone +447031940640 so that he can oblige you with
privilege information on how we can achieve this
together. I expect a prompt response from you.

Sincerely,

Julia Morgan
