"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Mrs. Bahiya Hariri,
President,
Hariri Organization
Beirut, Lebanon

Dear Friend,

This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the
fact that we have not met before.Sincerely speaking,
it is my condition now that necessitated this kind of
approach,l apologized for the inconveniences.

I am Mrs. Bahiya Hariri, wife of the late Prime Minister
of Lebanon, Mr Rafiq Hariri, who was assassinated on
14 February 2005, along with 20 others, near the St.
George Hotel in Beirut.

http://www.cedarland.org/haririass.html

ln the wake of his assassination on 14 February 2005,
the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan dispatched
a fact-finding mission to investigate the killing.
Arriving in Beirut on 25 February, the mission interviewed
Lebanese officials and politicians, from both the government
and opposition, studied the Lebanese investigation and
legal proceedings, examined the crime scene and collected
evidence from the interviewed Witnesses.

The report of the fact-finding emphasizes that it is impossible
to identify now the culprit until the final investigation,
but blames the Syrian government, for exerting influence that
goes beyond the reasonable exercise of cooperative or neighbourly
relations.

l have the feelings that l am not also save here in Beirut. I intend
leaving Lebanon for security reasons since the assasinators have not
been held.

But during my husband's life time as the Prime Minister of
Lebanon,some reasonable amount of money
from various deals that I successfully executed was deposited
by him in my name, Mrs.Bahiya Hariri in a Finance firm outside
Lebanon.I have plans now to invest this money outside Lebanon
also,I am contacting you because l need a trusted and reliable
person/company that can handle the investment for on my behalf.
I have alaready notified the finance firm, that l will send a family
business partner for the release of the fund.

Why l need a foreign partner is that, as an Arab woman,
the tradition forbids me to run any business with my son
(Saadeddine). Also. since he has not been aware of the
money from the very first beginning l would not like to involve him.

When I receive your positive response, I will then give
you more details of the Finance firm, and the amount involved.

Best regards and God bless,
Mrs. Bahiya Hariri
