"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

David Matin
108, N.Lytra Street.
Greece, Athens.

I am Mr. David Matin the protocol officer with the Consulate
of Sao Tome and Principe in Athens, Greece.I over see and coordinate
the Treasury & Security deposit department of The Consulate.
During one of my monthly routine inspections I discovered that a cargo with
the content registered as "FAMILY ACTIFACT" that was brought into the
Consulate through diplomatic coverage, contains US Dollars and not
family valuables as the record stipulate.

After these findings, we made several enquiries to locate the owner
through the address we have in our record and we discovered that the
owner of the cargo Mr Fedric Smith was among the passengers that died in the
ill fated August 14 plane crash that took place in Greece.

Since then, I have made several enquiries on my own to locate any of
his relatives or next of kin but without success. The Consulate has also
contacted
three search agencies to help but this has also proved unsuccessful.
After these findings, I decided to track his last name over the
Internet, to locate any member of his family but to no avail.

On confirmation, we found out that the total amount of money in the cargo is
$7.5Million US Dollars.
According to the Ambassador, He said that if i could not trace the next of
kin or relatives of Mr Fedric Smith That the cargo will be confisticated .
I am contacting you to assist in repatriating the money before the
Consulate will confiscate the cargo. The cargo has been moved out via
a diplomatic cover to a financial security firm for safekeeping and
has mandated me due to my position at the consulate to look for the
next of kin . But I cannot claim this cargo because of my position here. I
am contacting you to assist in
repatriating the money left behind before they get confiscated or
declared unserviceable by the FinanceSecurity Company where the cargo
were lodged for safe keeping. Moreover, the Finance/Security Company
has issued us a notice to provide the next of kin or have the cargo
confiscated within the next thirty official working days. I seek your
consent to work with me to safeguard this cargo so that you can claim
the cargo as the beneficiary/next of kin and to enable us set up a joint
venture and
invest the fund in your country. You will also act as a trustee to
the fund. We shall discuss the sharing ratio and modalities for the
transactions as soon as I get your positive response.

I must apologise to you if my request does not meet your personal ethics.
For your information, all I require is your honest co-operation to
enable us in seeing this deal through. I guarantee you that this will
be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from
any breach of the law. Please get in touch with me by my second email
address matindavid50@yahoo.com

with the following information:

1) YOUR FULL NAMES
2) YOUR ADDRESS
3) YOUR AGE
4) OCCUPATION
5) YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER
6} FAX NUMBER

Best regards,

Mr. David Matin
