"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,
My name is Mr. Koffi Abedi, a native of Ghana in Africa currently residing
in The Netherlands for a Senior Management course, at The Hogeschool,
University of Utrecht, The Netherlands.

I am requesting your assistance in order to redeem an investment made with
the West African Mining Corporation in which I am a senior executive. The
said investment now valued Twenty six million, U.S. Dollars
(U.S.$26, 000,000.00) was purchased by Mr. Alex Alvarez and contracted out to the West African Mining Corporation in September 1977. This redeemable investment interest has now matured and been cleared for disbursement since March of 2004.

Since then there has been an extensive global wide attempt to locate and notify any living relatives of Mr. Alex Alvarez being that he himself died in December of 1987. We have confirmed through three independent search agencies that there are no living relatives in whose favor the investment can be paid.

Being that two senior colleagues and I are working as staffs in the accounts department of the Mining Corporation and West African Reserve Bank, we have
access to all Mr. Alex Alvarez informations , we can claim this money with you. All we need to do is file this claim proclaiming you are the only surviving next of kin and actual beneficiary because of your name match with the late Investor.

These fund can be paid into any designated account which you provide and can be a new bank account specially for this purpose. My proposal to you is that for your assistance you will withhold 30% of the total sum, while ensuring that my partners and I will receive the remaining 70%.

If this proposal is acceptable to you, please contact me through this Email address koffi674@yahoo.de <mailto:koffi674@yahoo.de> with your full name and telephone number. Please treat this with absolute confidentiality and
sincerity.

Thanks and God Bless you.

Koffi Abedi, Esq
