"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

It's my pleasure to acquaint you with this proposal for investment purpose in your country/company.

I am the son of late chief Mr. Williams Cooper who was a personal confidant to the arrested war-Lord ( Mr Foday Sankoh) of Sierra-Leone.

Before the arrest of Foday Sankoh, my late father left Sierra-Leone with two Iron Trunk boxes, which contain the total sum of $22.000 000 (twenty two million United States Dollars) for Abidjan C'ote d'ivoire and deposited this consignment there in Abidjan, in a security company as a family treasures (AFRICAN ART WORKS)so the security company does not know the real content of the deposited two iron trunk boxes.

My late father did this to avoid raising any eyebrows for security purpose.

Unfortunately he died in the heat of the crisis when Mr Foday Sankoh was arrested.

I am presently here in Abidjan seeking for a reliable and trustworthy person to assist me move my inherited funds into Europe for onward investment.

While I try to process for my traveling documents to enable me meet with you in your country.

Based on my ignorance in the business world, I actually need your assistance hoping that you are honest and trustworthy to render me your kind assistance.

Your efforts in assisting me would not be underestimated; I would offer you 22% of the total sum.

Please as soon as you receive this message, you should Endeavour to reply me for more details and clarification, as I have everything in my position such as the certificate of deposit and the receipt issued to my late father on the deposit day
