"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,

I have been expecting your email to regarding the mailing of your draft.I have tried to contact my boss several times but all to avail and that is why I suggest that you should contact him and call him your self to explain the situation down here to him. You should understand that this is Africa and things are different here.

In this country it is not allowed to mail a draft with such amount of money on it through an ordinary post because it has to be insured. If I take it to the post office they will request to see the content in the envelop and will reject sending it and will refer me to the diplomatic service that will cover insurance. I have aquainted you with the cost of mailing needed to deliver your draft to you in your country through the diplomatic courrier service.

Please you should try to understand with me that I am just an ordinary secretary and i do not have money i could have assisted you pay for the delivery service charge and you refund me when you receive and cash your draft.

I am only following instructions which my boss said I should make sure that you receive this draft immediately you request for it. I am really concerened about the safety of your draft and you receiving it soon because of how nice my boss has been to me and i do not wish to be held responsible if anything happens to your draft.

I will advise you to contact the courrier office (Email- diplomatiquelivraisonbenin2@yahoo.fr ;Tel - 00 229 93 706 169; Fax - 00 20 229 111 943) because the only thing that is holding the delivery of your draft is the delivery service charge. You should inform them that you are the owner of the draft that was brought for delivery by Mrs Roseline Djossou with the following information.

Draft number - FBB000282666
Name of Bank - Finacial Bank Benin
Amount - 400,000.00 usd

If you wish, you can send the delivery charge directly to the courrier office. I am hoping to hear from you today.

Sincere regards,
Mrs Roseline Djossou.
