"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Francis Gomez (NEED YOUR HELP)

Dearest

How are you & the entire family?

It is a pleasure & good thing to write you & also to confide my heritage to you. The assistance I need from you-this however is not mandatory nor will I in any manner compel you to honour against your Will. Although I am total stranger to you & also this is the reason why I am contacting you & also giving you a telephone number to call me for oral discussion concenring this matter due to the confidentiality of this message (my situation) Actually, I don't know or met you before but the fact that ones relationship have to start somewhere, this is the reason why I decided to contact you for this assistance.

My name is Francis Gomez, 23yrs old & the only Son of Mr & Mrs Richard Anderson Gomez. My father was a highly reputable business magnet (a cocoa merchant) who operated in the capital city of Ivory Coast during his days. It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously during one of his business trips abroad some years ago. Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But God knows the truth! My mother died when I was a baby, for this reason my father took me so special.

Before his death, he called the secretary who accompanied him to the hospital and told him that he has the sum of One Million, Five hundred thousand United State Dollars ($1.500,000 U.S Dollars) left in one of the leading Vault Organisation here but later transffered to Europe. He further told me that he kept the money in a box & deposited it in my name presently at the Vault Organisation in Europe. but declared as a valuable objects for an exhibition abroad for safety reason. Finally issued a written instruction to his lawyer whom he said is in possession of the necessary but legal documents to this fund and the Vault Organisation but I don't want to involve the lawyer for some reason as I have collected all the related documents fom him and now in possession.

I am just 23 years old, university undergraduate here but since the death of my father few years ago I could not futher my education and really don't know what to do to avoid mismanagement or mistake on this heritage (money). This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory Coast (Africa) & my father's family problem. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards, your suggestions, ideas & Assistance will be highly regarded.

Please replied by answering these few questions below:-
1. Can you honestly help me as your own blood?
2. How can I completely trust in you?
3. What percentage or commission from the total amount in question can I offer you after the claiming of the money in Europe?

Consider this & get back to me please on the telephone below for further discussion and procedures of claiming to give you the Europe contact, thank you so much for your comprehension.

My Sincere Regards to you & your family.

Francis Gomez, you can reach me on this telephone line 0022508740372
