"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

of the lucky winners in this season's lottery promotion. This is an
independent promotion and is unconnected to any publication. No purchase
necessary. Be informed that this lottery promotion was conducted through
the Internet worldwide random selection, the participants and winners
where picked randomly through a computer ballot system and you have been
picked as one of the lucky winners. You are advised to treat this with
all seriousness.

Outlined herein are the terms and conditions for claiming your prize:
1. You must be over the age of 18.
2. The forms must be properly filled out. Any wrong information provided
will result in automatic disqualification.
3. Winners will be referred to an independent attorney here in the
Netherlands to have their forms notarized in order to obtain the
Certificate of Award from the Netherlands Gaming Control Board. (This
attorney will act as an arbitrator and is not under our payroll)
4.All winnings must be notarized here in The Netherlands by order of the
N.G.C.B.
5.As the winner you are responsible for the legal charges for the
notarization and obtaining of the certificate of award. These charges
are nondeductible.
6. The notarization and acquisition of the certificate of award
completes the claim process, failure to do so will cause you to forfeit
the prize.
7. Any leak of your winning information resulting in a double claim,
will nullify your winnings.
8. Your funds have been placed in an escrow account pending the
completion of your claim process.
9. Note also, that you are not obliged in any way to claim this prize
award and you have every right to reject it, this does not affect your
statutory rights.
10. Employees and their relatives are excluded from participating in
this program.
11. You are obliged to have your name published as a winner.
12. To be eligible for claim you must complete the claims process before
the deadline stated in the winning notification you received.
13. Filing a claim means acceptance of the full terms and conditions of
De Lotto.
14.When replying to this mail state your full name and country of
residence
If you agree to the terms and conditions, reply to this mail stating
that you agree to the terms and conditions and that you wish to proceed
to claim your prize and we will provide you with the forms to start
processing your claim. You are to fill the forms (Claim processing form
and Payment scheme form) and send it to the lawyer?s office for the
notarization of your winning details creating a legal link between you
and the winning detail and also to enable the lawyer acquire your
certificate of award from N.G.C.B. When completed De Lotto will approve
your lottery winning for onward transfer of your prize to you through
whichever method you indicate on the payment scheme form.
You must understand that you were randomly selected for this draw
through your email address, so the notarization process is vital because
with this we can legally ascertain that the lucky email address as well
as the winning details do in fact belong to you, without the notarized
forms the N.G.C.B. will not issue the certificate of award which makes
you legally entitled to the funds because without this you have no legal
claim on the funds.

This process will also enable us to checkmate impersonators trying to
claim other people?s winnings. However, be informed that failure to fill
the form properly will result to the cancellation of your lottery
