"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Amarjit Singh,
How are you today? i hope you are doing good, i have informed you already on what to do and i am writing you once again on the aspect of the previous email i sent to you concerning the fund which i told you that i deposited in the bank which i am embacking on you to assisit me to cliam the fund on my behalf since i am a civil servant still in active service and the law in my country forbits me from owing my own personal account not to talk of having such a huge amount of money in my possession.
Please indicate your willingness by forwarding to me your contact details such as your full names, your house/office address as i requested before because i will have to forward them to my Attorney as to prepare you the documents that will enable you cliam the fund on my behalf in the bank as you will keep the fund with you pending my arrival to your country for the sharing according to the percentage agreed on.
Please remember to forward your Telephone number as well.
