"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

ATTN: CEO/PRESIDENT,

My name is PRINCE OVERMAS HOPKINS, a South African Chartered Accountant and a government Auditor. I and my colleagues headed and audited the activities and assets of defunct and liquidated security companies and legal outfits in South African who indulge in fraudulent activates thereby operating contrary to their act of registration code of conduct

As a matter of candid, these companies existed and operated for couple of years in South Africa before being declared insolvent and their subsequent final liquidation on the July 16 2003.

The main reason of the liquidation was that foreigners from war torn countries (i.e.) DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC), SIERRA LEONE, BURUNDI, SUDAN etc, were lodging excess money and valuables in the liquidation security companies and these legal outfits defrauding the ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (R.A.F). Following the liquidation of these companies, team of auditors were immediately drafted and appointed to audit the activities and investigate the fraudulent circumstances leading to the bankruptcy and possible liquidation of these companies by the South African Government on the 8th August 2003.

During the course of our auditing and investigation, we have so far identified and paid out funds to some beneficiaries as well.
However, during our auditing and investigation, we also discovered some funds and valuables with which the depositors of this funds and valuables was Mr. THOMAS RICCCARDO BROWN deceased without a heir, but upon careful investigation of the depositors documents, your name and E-mail address were found as the beneficiaries to this fund, as a bequeath to you in his ? LAST WILL?. But be mindful of the fact that this fund is supposed to be forfeited to the government as their ? CODE OF CONDUCT? for one convicted and sentenced for fraud.

As a matter of fact, this commission has decided to grant the beneficiary of this fund which is not supposed to be paid to you the circumstances surrounding it, which is US$18.5MILLION, on the condition that an agreement has to be reached and signed with you that this commission will be entitled to 20% of the money upon transfer to your nominated account.

All we need from you is absolute trust that you will not cheat us when the fund gets into your account. Should you be interested in these regards, please send to us your private telephone and fax numbers for confidential communication for the way forward.Upon receipt of your positive response, we will then give you detailed information on how you are going to apply for the claim which we are going to spearhead and approve in your favor.

Expecting the best response from you.

Best regards,

PRINCE OVERMAS HOPKINS
