"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear VICTIMNAME VICTIMNAME,

This is to acknowledge the reciept of your mail. I am also using this
opportunity to thank you for your willingness to be a partner in this
transaction.
I assure you that this transaction is entirely legal and risk free as all
moderlity for a hitch free transaction is already in place so you don't have
to be worried at all.

As a matter of fact an arrangement has been concluded on your representation
as the legal/statutory beneficiary of the comsignment funds.
Under this arrangement, we shall obtain the documentations that will give
you the legal-back up as the bonafide beneficiary of the consignment fund.
With my experience in this company and my contacts here, I will make sure
that every legal process concerning this transaction must be followed till
the end so as not to have any problems in the near future.

Please let our watch word or motto be "Trust and Dedication" for us to
succeed in this transaction, we most try as much as posible to build up
trust on each other and be ready to sacrifice.

At this juncture all that is required from you is absolute confidentiality
and trust for us to succeed. From my estimation this transaction will take
approximately ten working days upon the receipt of the required information
from you.
To embark on these you will be required to forward to me your following
particulars.

1.Your full names
2.Your contact address.
3.Your telephone and fax numbers.
4.A scanned copy of your international passport or National driver lisence.

As these will assist the lawyer to regularise all the documents in your
favour. Such as securing a sworn affidavit from the south african magistrate
court for the change of ownership of the consignment fund to your name as
the beneficiary and nominated f
oreign affiliate to late Mr Morris Thompson.

Thereafter, the lawyer will officially apply to the security company for
approvals and subsequent release of the consignment fund to you as the new
bonafide beneficiary. It is imperative to intimate you that your physical
presence will be required for the signing of the release authorisation as
soon as approval is granted in your favour. Note that as soon as the
security company recieves the application for claims on your behalf, they
will open direct communication with you. At this stage as soon as you
recieve any information from the security company you have to contact me
first for an advise on what to respond to them. You should also be aware
that my involvement in this deal should not be disclosed to the security
company, it has to be kept very secret. All information that the company
might require from you to facilitate the retrieval of the consignment fund
will be supplied by me.
