"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GoodDay , Mr.Harry Anslinger

GOOD DAY, Mr. Harry Anslinger
I am JAMES R. TolberT the son of late president William R. Tolbert
of liberia ,who was killed by Master Sergeant Samuel Kanyon Doe in a
bloody coup, me and my Sister Tracy R. Tolbert
were young then.
But before the war started he deposited the sum of $5million Usd
with the International Commercial Bank Ghana, west Africa for safekeeping and
onward transfer.then we ran to Abidjan where we have lived all this years
before coming to Ghana to request the funds from the bank. Now that Ellen
Johnson-Sirleaf is the president we fill safe,we went to the bank, they
showed us the legal agreement that stated that we must produce a foreign partner so they
can release the fund to us , as legally signed by our late father at the time of
deposit.
But presently we want you to help us receive this fund as our foreign
partner, we just want you to deal with the International
Commercial Bank directly, to stand for us before the bank as the new beneficiary
of this money.
And I will want you to also sign agreement with me so i can trust you
and be sure you agree to take 20% of the money for your assistance and 1%
for any expenses you make during the transation, then invest the rest with
your wise advice in your country.
I will Get a power of attorney and a change of ownership of all the
documents to your name, it will be sign by me in the presence of the
commissioner of oath in the high court of justice in Accra Ghana which
is the origin of this fund, that will be showed to the bank that i the next of kin to the
deposited money has given you legal power to receive the money from the bank, the bank
will release this money to you, without any question, you will just tell the bank
officials where you want the money to be delivered to anywhere in the
world,it may surprise you but is the truth and no one expect you know
that we are alive and in Ghana that is why you must keep this a top secret
to yourself alone, because my late father signed agreement that the
money is a contract payment for his foreign business partners and should be
released without delay or questions. Remember my late father was the President
of Liberia.
All documents covering this fund are with me and every thing is
legal according to the International Monetary Funds Laws of money transfer
law requirement.
Please do contact me with this information’s below so I can send
all the documents regarding this transaction to you, so you can understand
wisely.
Your phone number, home address, fax number, your name
and surname.
