"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I have taken note of your mail and its content is well noted and understood. After reading your mail I contacted my Pastor and I ask for the possibility to transfer this fund out of this country for the purpose I have disired it. My Pastor has concluded all the arrangment of this transaction with the bank here in Abidjan. Pls my dear in the lord I will want you to give me your full details, such as your full name , address and private fax numbers, first and second pages of your international passport or driving liecence.

As soon as I receive all this details from you, I will obtain a power of attorney signed authorising the bank here to effect the transfer of the fund into your account for the very purpose for the help Charity and the donation of the Almighty God..

Please dear, I want you to promise me that you will handle this fund very well and you will also use it for the purpose and project of helping the widows and the less priviledged. I also want you to be honest and sincere to me as this will help us to build a strong and sincere relationship if God permit me to live. I will forward to you all the legal vital document of the deposit for your urgent attention. I will want you and your group to pray for me always for protection from the lord and healing.
