"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Thank you so much.

Dear Pastor Robert,

May the good lord be praised, I got your mail just at the time it is most important, I have almost signed my fortune to Red cross society this morning before getting your mail, I thank the mother Mary for her intervention as I believed it is her will that this money will be used for a church which is the true church and my faith.

Dear Pastor I made this money as a broker / Agent for the Nigerian Government and foreign crude Oil Companies who wanted deep offshore crude oil blocs which the Nigerian Government offered for sale… He helped the foreign Oil Companies to acquire these Crude Oil blocs and in this way legitimately earned ROYALTIES, COMMISSIONS, and FEES total US$11.5 million. This money I have since deposited in the Nigerian Re-insurance Corporation.

I have less than four days to my surgery and this money must be in your possession or in the possession of the church within this period, dear pastor I and my family have been renowned for charity works before the death of my wife and children in a plane crash in 1998,, I would have been on this ill fated f light if not for my poor health which was later diagnosed as esophageal cancer and has kept me on the death list.

Pastor I should not forget to have mentioned the help which your prayers rendered to me, please May you continue the prayer for me, also may the sister who gave you my mail be blessed immensely by our lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor all I want is a foundation in the memory of my family and I which is very important in as much as I have trust in the catholic church I have faith in My God, I will need you to send me your full name and address including your contact telephone no. for easy communication, also I will like you to inform me of the way you will like to receive the fund, is it going to be directly to the church account or do you want it delivered directly to you in cash? as it must be in the general power of attorney to the security company, which must be sealed and signed in the federal high court.

May the blessings of our lord Jesus Christ be with us, I await your urgent reply or call for immediate action to be taken before my surgery.

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Sam Tzee
