"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention: Ised Robert (Pastor)
Sir,

Further to my earlier mail to you. After dissecting your mail with my Partners, I wish to let you know that I am very glad to have received your mail and its content noted.

I want you to know that all legal documents in regards to Mrs. Joy Anu’s funds that was deposited in the bank in London by her late husband must be obtained by our chambers before I travel to London to meet with the bankers in which I will be expecting to meet with you in London so that the money would be remitted into your bank account as you would agree with them.

I am a very busy man as I have a lot of clients at this moment which I am attending to due to the fact that most of them are Politicians, some serving and some aspiring to serve in the next electioneering year 2007. I hardly had time to make calls except my clients do call me, I will only call you when I feel it is of very importance to do so and when you are not there to receive my call, I will drop a message on your answering machine and I do expect that when you get my message, you call when you are chance you know my purpose of calling you.

It is the normal that Attorney’s collect about Seven to Ten percent of the total amount involve in a financial dealings, but due to the nature of this transaction and the purpose of which this money is meant for and not for personal gratification, I have decided to collect only Three percent of the total amount involve, which amounts to Five Hundred Thousand, Four Hundred United States Dollars. But I will not collect the whole money before obtaining the documents; rather, I will need a mobilization fee of about Fifty Thousand United States Dollars, so that I can use it to obtain the legal documents from the various government agencies and that which I will use to travel to London, hopefully by next week.

I want you to know that it will not take more than two days to obtain all the legal documents as regards to the remittance of this money. Already, I will be notifying my travel agent to book for a flight ticket to Nigeria-London-Nigeria for next week Thursday as I hope to obtain the documents by that time if I am given the mobilization fees by this weekend at most. I don’t need to engage any third party to this transaction as I have well enough staff and Partners to run every errand for me as they are all in my Chambers.

I look forward to your response to this mail is my terms are acceptable by you or your Church then you can send the following information or personal data to me;

(1) Your Names or name of the beneficiaring Church in full
(2) The mailing address of you or the beneficiaring Church in full
(3) Copies of your International Passport
(4) Your bank account or the bank account of the beneficiaring Church in full

Yours in service,

Christopher Alima (SAN)
Senior Partner, Alima & Associates
