"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: INVESTMENT OFFER

From:
Mr. Ali Mustafani
Dear Sir.
I am obliged to introduce my humble self to you. I am Mr. Ali Mustafani presently residing in sandton, Johannesburg South Africa. I wish to explain to you clearly my intentions of going into an investment business relationship with you.
Fortunately, I am a close aid to the incumbent president of Congo D.RC. President Joseph Kabila, I am President Joseph Kabila, s foreign financial director for the past four years. This is a position, I have held even before the death of his father late President Lauren Kabila who was assassinated on January 16th 2001.
Since President Joseph Kabila came into power, I have been handling most of his sensitive financial concerns. Cash transfers in and out of Congo D.R.C through diplomatic means have always been my area of service specialty to the incumbent President Joseph Kabila. At the moment, the sum Of Sixty Five Million Dollars has been brought into South Africa quietly through diplomatic means and handed over to my care, as the President directed, it is for acquisition of mining franchises in the South African Gold mining fields, building of massive hotels/ holiday resorts in South Africa and within the southern African region, all these and many more are silently owned by the young President.
The main reason why I am contacting you is to ask for your partnership in investing the profit I have made so far from spot money trading with the initial capital that was provided by the president. You may be wondering why I had wanted to vacate this golden position; it will be good enough For me to let you understand that my working conditions under the president are very tight. It is made clear to me that I would not live this position until Joseph Kabila the President finds a better replacement for me. Due to the amount of money under my care regularly, all my travel documents are held tightly by the Congolese high commission so as to check my exits and entrances in and out of South Africa. This entails that every business meeting that will require my traveling out of South Africa should be made known to the President and that he should take all decisions. Even my monthly feeding and family allowances are made available by the Congolese high commission as they are
directed.
At this moment I think I have served the President to the best of my ability and would like to seize this opportunity to fend for my future with the amount of money I have made as profit, before I end up not getting anything and being kicked out from this position thereby ending up a loser. With my position right now I can be able to make available some substantial amount of money for good business investments in a country of your choice.
Please do not treat this letter as a case of Spam or an unsolicited mail from an unknown stranger as I will make everything clearer to you if I do see your strong interest in continuing on this.
Thanking you for your anticipated co-operation.
Mr. Ali Mustafani
