"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PLEASE GET BACK TO ME IMMEDIATELY.

How is work? hope all is well, sorry for my late response it's due to my
work schedule, so please bear with me.

I hereby attached two documents procure in your name for the contractual
transfer of the funds into your account in Germany, so sign the colum of the
Analysis of Fund transfer below where they wrote Beneficiary Signature and
return it immediately to my mail box for proper documentation please.

However, i will love you to know that our working capital has exhausted and
we have one or two more documents to procure and attached to you for
presentation to the the Remittance Department of CENTRAL BANK for immediate
payment.

Therefore, call the remittance Director Mr Samuel Charles of CBN and inform
him that you are the beneficiary of the fund and you expect the bank to
release the fund into your account immediately in Germany.

Mr Sterling, please get intouch with the Director immediately because we
don't have much time left now and as you can see that the year is coming to
an end.
