"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

INTRODUCTION: I am Mrs. Nancy Wilford,i know this proposal will come to you
as a surprise because we have not met before physically or through
correspondence,i have no doubt in your ability to handle this proposal
involving this huge sum of money based on your profile through the internet.

THE SUBJECT: My husband Chief Daniel Wilford (now late)was the royal head of
my community, Jesse (an oil richtown) in Nigeria,my late husband's community
produce 3.5% of the total crude oil production in Nigeria and 0.5% of the
dollar value of each barrel is usually paid to my husband as royalty by the
Federal Government.

My husband was also the Chairman of the OMPADEC,,Jesse Branch,he made some
money, which he left for me and my children as the only thing to inherit,the
money in total is sixteen Million United State Dollars
(US$16,000,000.00),though this said fund accumulated between the periods
1980 - 1998 but due to poor banking system in Nigeria and political
instability as a result of past military rules (1985 -1999), he desposited
this money in a strong room/safe with an open beneficiary in APEX BANK of
NIGERIA pending when he would finalise arrangements to transfer it abroad as
CONTRACT PAYMENT,he was making this arrangement when he died last year of
Heart Attack.

Since the death of my husband my health has deteriorated considerably.

THE PROPOSAL: Just before my husband died he called my attention to the
money and charged me to look for a foreigner who would assist me in the
transfer/investment of the funds abroad,inview of this,i will be very
grateful if you accept to help me achieve this great objective,i promise to
reward you handsomely from the total fund transferred to your bank account
as compensation for your assistance,five percent (5%) will be set aside to
take care of any expenses we may incure during the transaction.
