"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

To Whom It May concern

This communication is very secret and sensitive. One of
the chiefs in the mining communities of Ghana has in
stock 1000 kg alluvial gold dust. This large stock was
acquired from illegal mining operations. This chief in
addition receives royalties from the government in the
form of gold dust but can only sell this gold back to
the government alone. The chief controls a large mining
community in Ghana. This community has many small scale
mines operating as well as large scale mines. The chief
himself is engaged in mining but this is not known to
the authorities. This chief has approached me through
his son whom I teach that he wants to dispose of his
1000kg gold dust.I have decided to approach you
because I beleive you are the only person I can trust
to handle this deal. The chief wants your help to move
this gold out of Ghana to wherever you deem fit so
that you can sell this gold and share the profits
together.

This gold cannot be sold locally because there are no
documents covering it.With your help documents can be
prepared in your name to move this gold out legally.A
certificate of ownership and other documents will be
prepared in your name to facilitate this. The chief
proposes to pay you 35% of the profits including all
your expenses after this deal has been successfully
completed. The remaining 65% shall remain in your
account so that you can open an account in the name of
this chief and deposit it for investments.

This deal is highly confidential. If you are
interested, kindly furnish me with your contact details
so that I can link you to the chief to discuss and
finalize the procedures and logistics. This gold is
presently stored safely in a village. You will be
required to travel to Ghana to meet with the chief to
conclude this deal.

I look forward to your urgent response.God bless you.
