"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

FROM THE DESK OF PROF. JERRY GANA,FORMER POLITICAL ADVISER TO PRESIDENTOLUSEGUN OBASANJO
URGENT
Dear Friend,

This letter may come to you as surprise considering the fact that we have not met before or did something that will build absolute trust and confidence. However, "a day they say begin a story".My name is Professor Jerry Gana, former political adviser to former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

In the course of stewardship, the president wife (late Stella Obasanjo) entrusted to the sum of usd17.5million to deposit in a finance company's vault. This money was met for the "third term agenda" of her husband (Obasanjo) but unfortunately, she died under mysterious circumstances. Her death coupled with the pressure from the Nigerian people put an end to the "third term agenda" of the former president.

Therefore, i write to solicit your co-operation in repatrating this funds (usd17.5million) from the finance company's vault to your bank account since i am limited by law as a public servant to operate a foreign bank account. For your assistance, you will be entitled to 40% of the total sum, 50% for me and my aides while 10% set aside for any possible expenses that may come up in the course of the transaction. The business will be carried out under legitimate arrangement and you will not be subjected to any risk at all. It may interest you to know that the former president (Olusegun Obasanjo) is not aware of this funds as his late wife did not disclose it to him before her death.

Should you be interested in this proposal, kindly send me the following information:

1. your full name and address2. your telephone and fax number3. your age and occupation

Waiting for your urgent response.

Best regards,Prof. Jery Gana.
