"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

Subject: LETTER OF INTRODUCTION OF MYSELF MR. DESMOND MBELE
CHIEF AUDITOR OF THE FORMER BANK OF EXECUTIVE (BOE)
OF SOUTH AFRICA
Subject: OFFSHORE INVESTMENT PROJECTENGAGEMENT FOR A PERIOD
OF TEN YEARS

It pleases me to have this opportunity to communicate with you on an important business matter. I have received your profile through a legitimate source in the Department on Trade and Intellectual Properties of South Africa.

Moreover, my contacting you is that during my position as a Chief Auditor in the acquisition and winding-up process of the above mentioned Bank (BOE) in the year 2001, I had an opportunity to secure an investment capital through a BAD-DEBT write-off system, which involved personal and business loan finance including Overdrafts. Following the acquisition process, all foreign clients' personal effects kept in the treasury Department were audited and transferred into a security vault of a holding Company (Of which I will inform you in due course) for imminent claim by the subsequent owners as audited. I have therefore taken an opportunity to lodge my acquired amount, audited and recorded in my acquisition report as BAD-DEBT written-off, into the security vault of the same holding company which has now formed part of the personal valuable belonging to foreign clients. This therefore has paved ways for me to put my funds back into circulation, whence therefore I'm proposing the following to you;

that the written-off amount of R76.M be allocated to your ownership (with you bearing in mind that it is my own money) and on your behalf process claim and immediate transfer of this capital to your destination choice in overseas.
in a narrowest definition, that you hold this capital into a ten year investment program in the stock market exchange or in any offshore investment market allowing circulation for the benefit of my future retrieval of the capital. A fixed deposit into a fast interest growing financial institution might be thoughtful.
that after the investment period of ten years, that the above initial capital be returned back into my country which I will then be able to use without any complications or implications, although that the returning of the capital amount is pending on what prevails in the ten year investment schedule.
that you keep the information contains herein confidential irrespective of what your response is to this proposal.
I would like you to acknowledge that the above terms are subject to amendments depending on which clause you may suggest that we amend. Once I receive a positive response from you regarding this proposal, we shall discuss and agree on the amount of share in percentage which will be disbursed to you on the capital amount and on the investment income net gain. For your comfort, there are documented facts which I have available to make you understand this situation better and I will be glad to disclose it to you on my confirmation of your interest to embark on this project. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faifully,

DESMOND MBELE
