"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

FROM MISS LINDA KOUASSI

WEST AFRICA
APPEAL FOR HELP

DEAR,
permit me to inform you of my desire of going into business relationship with you , l got your name and contact through the help of a friend who works in internet here in Abidjan I and my twin brother prayed over it and selected your name among other names due to its esteeming nature and the recommendation by the director for a reputable and trustworthy person we can do business with and by the recommendation we must not hesitate to confid in you for this simple and sincere business.

l am MISS LINDA KOUASSI, written unbehalf of my twean brother FRANK KOUASSI we are the children of late Mr and Mrs CHRISTOPHER KOUASSI. My father was a very wealthy cocoa merchant in Abidjan here, the economic capital of Ivory Coast, he was poissoned to death by his business associates on one of their outings on business. My mother died on the 20th october 1988 and my father took me so special because l am motherless.

Before the death of our father on 29th november two years ago in a private hospital here in Abidjan, he secretly called us on his bedside, when we sat down to listen to him, he started crying, why?(1) he conplained that we are too young to be managing our lives, (2)that we have not finished our university education as he planned for us, (3)no body to take care of us again as we young, but after much crying, he still passed an instruction to us that he has a sum of US$9.500.000.(NINE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) left in a fixed/suspense account in one of the prime banks here in Abidjan, that he used my brother's name as the first son for next of kin in deposit of the funds.

He also explained to us that it was because of this wealth that he was posisoned by his business associates , that we should seek for a God fearing foreign partner in a country of our choice where we will transfer this money and use it for proper investment purpose ,that we must finish our university education by the help of a business partner abroad, that he or she should help us obtain a resident permit in his or her country.
He also gave an out standing instrution to the bank that the money must be transfered outside this country before use, this is to make sure that I did not begin to make use of the money here so that his enemies will not get at us.

Sir, we are now ready to do all these since our father our bread winner is no more.
Sir we am honourable seeking your assistance in the following ways.
( 1) to provide a bank account into which this money will be transfered to.
(2) to serve as our gaurdian in your country while we will depend on your expert advise since we are children of 24 years.
( 3 ) to make arrangement for us to come over to your country in order to further our university education and to secure a residential permit for us in your country.

Moreover sir, we are willing to offer you 15% of the total sum as compensation for your effort /input after the successfull transfer of this funds to your account overseas.
Furthermore, you can indicate your option towards assisting us as l believed that this project would be concluded within fourteen ( 14 ) days you signify interest to assist me.
Hoping to hearing from you soonest.
May God bless you as you extend your helping hand to a needy fellow.
Best wishes
LINDA KOUASSI
