"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: DEAR HERE IS THE TEXT APPLICXATION OF CLAIM/PLEASE CONTACT THE BANK URGENTLY

Dear,

Thanks for your mail. The next step involved in this matter which is geared towards the fullfilment of the bank's demand is that you need to send a letter of claim to the bank as a next of kin to the deceased Engineer Jacob Andrew Frederick informing them of your desire to claim the funds and requesting them to transfer the funds to your bank account.

I have prepared a sample of letter of claim for you which is stated at the bottom of this mail, you're to send it immediately to the bank for their acknowledgement and onward transfer of the funds to your bank account. Please send it directly to the bank's official email address at biatogo_lometogo@myway.com

Once you send the application I would appreciate it if you inform me accordingly and when the bank contacts you, you should not hesitate to update me with whatsoever they communicated to you so that I can advice and assist you accordingly in order to facilitate the quick transfer of the funds to your bank account.

As I stated earlier, I am presently in London United Kingdom but I would be leaving London today for Lome Togo because my presence in Lome-Togo is of vital importance so that I can be there to monitor and provide any service that would ensure the quick transfer of the funds to your bank account.

Once I arrive Lome-Togo, I would let you know about it. I look forward to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Barrister Coker Stanley
