"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GREETINGS, FROM FRANK BOMAH OUMARSAN.

GREETINGS, FROM FRANK BOMAH OUMARSAN. FROM FRANK BOMAH OUMARSAN. C/O GRACELAND REFUGEE CAMP. ABIDJAN COTE D'IVOIRE.My dear uncle/aunty, I am Frank Bomah Oumarsan, from the Republic of SIERRA LEONE. I am 22 Years old and an orphan being that I lost my parents couple of years ago. My father was the Director of the Diamond & Cocoa Exporting Board until his untimely death. He was assasinated by the Rebels following the Political Uprising that led our country SIERRA LEONE, into Civil War. Because of his death, I and my sister Naomi, ran to Cote d'Ivoire where we are now hidding ourselves for the security of our lives. Before the death of my father, he deposited the sum of US$15.5 Million (Fifteen Million, Five Hundred Thousand United State dollars) in one of the Financial Institutions here in Abidjan, Cote d`Ivoire, on my name as the Next of Kin, for the purchase of Machinery Equipement that will be used in producing Chocolate and it's allied products. Now, I am seriously sick and at the point of death due to malnutrition for lack of food and no medicare. Based on my detreorating health condition and coupled with the fact that I am a refugee here, together with the political problems still going on here because of the Rebels, I want you to do me a favour in retreiving this money out from the Financial Institution's custody, on my behalf, and save it into your personal account in your country or in any other safer place you may deem necessary, as the beneficiary and my late father's foreign business partner, on my behalf. I have plans to invest this money in your country, preferably on Real Estate business, Cocoa & Coffee business or into an Industrial (Production) Project that will be profit oriented, under a joint partnership venture with you. This is my reason for writting this mail to you. So, if you are hummane enough, touched by my condition and also willing to help and assist me and my little sister, "Naomi Idara" in this our trying period, please indicate your interest by replying me as quickly as possible. I have mapped out 30% of this amount as a reward for whoever that will assist me in retrieving this money out from the Finance House and transfer the money to his/her account, on my behalf. All the relevant documents proof of the deposited (Fund) money at the Bank, are intact with me. I am going to send them to you for your reference, confirmation and file record before we can proceed, if you indicate your interest and willingness to help me. Thanks and God bless you as you help and assist me in this. Your's sincerely, Master Frank Bomah Oumarsan.
