"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I need your services

Attention my dear friend,

This mail should not surprise or embarrass you. My name is Mr. Akpan Stanley
I am the Zonal Controller, Central Bank of Nigeria.

Due to the present reforms in Nigeria. The Federal Government of Nigeria is paying off all the major contractors that executed the Plateau Project in 1991.
This payment is being made by my office through Rafiq Rehman Consultants ( http://rafiqrehman.com )

In the course of my investigation I discovered that some files that contain the names
and contact address of some major contractors has deteriorated and worn out.
As a result of this my effort to contact or locate them has proved abortive.
I have in my possession the sum of $69,000,000.00 (sixty nine million US dollars)
belonging to some contractor whose name and contact cannot be traced.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating them I hereby seek your assistance
to present you as one of the major contractors.
I will include your name in the list of contractors that executed the project (http://rafiqrehman.com/projects.htm).

I have all the necessary information and legal documents needed to fortify you and back you up for the claim.

All I require from you is your honest cooperation to enable us see this transaction through.
I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you and I from any breach of law.

Upon receipt of your positive response, we shall then discuss the sharing ration and modalities of transfer.Send your:
