"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

From Phillipe and Elizabeth,14 BP 2022 ABJ. 14,Cote d'Ivoire.

Dear respected one from Holland,Having found you as a national/Residence of Holland, I am so sorry and much pleased to introduce ourselves to you as the children of your late sister, Mrs. Nicole of Steegen's family, in Almere of Holland; and according to history left her home to the city in search of greener pasture, from where she met our father, Chief Thomas Ndiaye of Bouake district of Cote d'Ivoire, a former Cote d'Ivoire ambassador to Germany, who died two years ago as a result of food poisoning, which according to our findings was masterminded by his (my late father's) family relatives in order to hold claim of his assets and landed properties.

Meanwhile, it is quite unfortunate that before the sudden death of our mother in the Kenya airways plane crash in the year 2000 in west coast of Abidjan, she could't take us to her country home (Holland) for introduction to members of her family, and since her death and the death of our father, i have been to her country's embassy here to see if i can locate any of her relatives but without succes, I therefore decided to use her last name to trace her origination and nationality through the internet from where i got your contact as a national of Holland. My main purpose of writing you is to know how you can help us come over there in Holland for a new begining because the brothers of our late father here are very brutal and wicked to us, as they have siezed from us all our late parents properties and had also restricted us from other family inheritance because of their hatred and jealousy over our late mother being a foreign national.

Beacuse they don't know that i have in my possesion (custody) a file containing relevant documents which our late father made a deposit of US$12,500,000.00 in a bank here for investment abroad, i therefore request you to help us for transfering of the money into your foreign bank account to enable us come over there in Holland and establish for a new begining. Meanwhile, we have agreed to offer you 15% of the total amount after the transfer and on our eventual arrival there. So, on your acceptance towards helping us, all we need from you is to quickly send us your:- full names, home/residential address and privillage telephone number, so that we can discuss, to enable me furnish you with further information on the transfer modalities of the money into your foreign bank account.Faithfully,Your's little brother and sister,Phillipe and Elizabeth.
