"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

CONTRACT REVIEW & PAYMENT COMMITTEE (CRPC) Federal republic of Nigeria Attn: Beneficiary, If you do not receive all pages, please inform us immediately. From the desk of Accredited Attorney, Contract Review and Payment Committee (CRPC) Federal Republic of Nigeria. Sir/Madam, the new civilian president of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Omar Musa Yar’ Adua, has ordered the immediate release of all the pending payment owing by the Nigerian Government in the past administration. The (CRPC) Chairman and the chief security officer (CSO) Federal Ministry of finance have arranged with an officer in computer section Mr. Johnson Nnatu, to bring out all the records of outstanding Contractors due for payment, and your name was discovered as next on the list of the outstanding INHERITOR who have not received their payments. Meanwhile, the investigations reveal that you have been waiting for a long time to receive the part payment sum amounting US$10.5 million USD, but without success. The “FMF” Computer also reveals that you have almost met all the statutory requirements in admiration of the payment; we observe clearly that your problem is that of interest groups. A lot of people are interested in the payment and those people are merely doing paper works with you and that explains why. You receive fax and email from different people everyday. We also found out that some of the officials of the parastatals have been extorting a lot of money from you with the pretext of helping you receive the payment, and I can assure you that this may last for years yet nothing happens if you do not do away with those officers that you call your partners and representatives. Please be warned as “CRPC” will not tolerate any second party involvement or Nigeria local representatives. The release of the fund is alternatively / optionally; the fund will come to you by either banking transfer or through Diplomatic means. In this view, indicate your readiness, via bank transfer or through diplomatic means. For more security reasons, we discover this account number in your file (004812748780) bank routing number 111001002000) for the payment to be made, we plead that you should not let anybody know about this until you receive the payment. Re-confirm the followings information’s bellow, (1) A Copy of int'l passport or any scanned identity to prove you for the processing of payment. (2) Your address, phone, fax or mobile #. We sincerely apologize for the delay in the payment, as we wish to continue a cordial business relationship with you. On behalf of this country I wish to thank you immensely for your patience. Yours faithfully, Barrister Dennis AdamsCRPC Accredited Attorney
