"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

It’s my pleasure to introduce myself to you via this message, and I hope that you will not find my medium of communication embarrassing though we never meet before. I am contacting you based on the fact that I need a partner who can assist me to import some products for my subsequent distribution. Due to the nature and complications of my work here in London, I am not in the suitable position to handle this importation business myself, hence the reason why I decided to contact you and seek for your interest to represent me in your country to contact the manufacturers and purchase the goods on my behalf.

I am Mr. Philip Gore, from Australia but working in UK for the past 30 yrs. I have not being into trading business, but I am currently working with the Civil Department HBOS PLC (http://www.hbosplc.com/abouthbos/directors_biogs.asp) in London, recently I became interested in the importation of some products, as I was told that the products are lucrative in Sub-African countries. Hence this is the reason why I decided to contact you personally and seek for your interest in assisting me run this transaction. I will not be able to run this business myself due to some personal reasons and complications as regards to my Job here in London. Hence at both of our agreement, I will need your services on the following.

1: Products sourcing,
2: Price negotiation with manufacturers,
3: Product purchasing, inspection and
4: Shipments to my destination.

On your comment towards this proposal, we both will discuss the modality of this business and also I will have to send you the list and specifications of the goods to be purchased and supplied to me as well as the money to be used for the purchase and logistics once you assure me the possibility of our co-operation. I will discuss personal with you on how much I will pay you as commission for the services.
