"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello My Dearest One,

Good day. how are you and your family as well as your work? I hope
everything within you are alright. Permit me to inform you of my desire to
ask you to help me out in what I am about to tell you. After much
consideration and prayer I have decided to tell you all about me because I
believe you can be of assistance to me and my faith. And, I believe God lead
me to you. I am the only child of my parents. Please, I am very sorry to
bother you with my problem. Please know that it's not by mistake I am
contacting you but by the special grace of God.

I'm Mary Ampem (19years old female) from Moyale Village in Kenya and the
only child of the late Mr. & Mrs. Wereko Ampem. I do not know my mother,
she died when i was a baby. My father established his cocoa business in
Accra Ghana, and he died shortly of heart attack his death has now made me
orphan and i am exposed to danger.Since the death of my father, my uncles
have sent me out of our house, they said that i am a female child that i do
not have any right in the family and that is their custom.

Before the unfortunate death of my father in a private hospital in Moyale
Village, he reveal to me that he had deposited two trunk boxes with UTS
(Unique Trust Security Company Accra Ghana) as a family treasure. One
contained $12.5 million US Dollars and the other 200kg of gold dust. He told
me that he had used his name to deposit the two boxes (consignments) and
that my name was the next of kin to the deposit of the consignments.

I am presently living with a certain pastor and his family here in Ghana. My
father said he used my name as his only child as his next of kin to the
deposit and in case he fails to make it that I should take care of myself
and get someone to help invest the money for me. I have all the papers with
me here and the key to the boxes, my father did not disclose the content of
the two trunk boxes to the security company to avoids the officials from
raising eye brows to the funds.

I am now presently in Accra trying to locate where the security company is
situated and I have succeeded in locating the security company. I also
confirmed the consignments with most honesty and confidentiality. I finally
decided to take quick action and have these consignments transferred out of
Ghana.I have contacted the security company about my claim of the trunk
boxes but the security company told me that my father made an agreement with
the company management that they should not release the two trunk boxes to
me without a foreign partner. That is why I need your vital assistance to
help me in clearing these consignments and transferring them to your country
as my foreign beneficiary or my guardian. I am honorably seeking your
assistance in the following ways:
(1) To be my guardian/foreign beneficiary and then to assist me financially
to clear these two consignments into your country.
(2) To make arrangements for me to come over to your country to further my
education and then settle there permanently.

Please help me and stand for me as my guardian and contact the security
company. I will love it most if you will come down here so that after the
transaction i will go back with you to your country for a better future. I
am willing to offer you 20% of the total consignment content as compensation
for your assistance. I want you to know that the main reason why i have
contacted you is that you are still going to be the one to help me with the
investment of this consignments since i do not have any idea about
investment.

As soon as I receive your full assurance and cooperation, I will then give
you the contact information of the Security Company where these consignments
were deposited for you to contact them and tell them how you want them to
get my consignments release to you. I shall send my picture to you and shall
also need yours too. Please, no matter what your decision may be, I want you
to reply me, please let this be private between me and you.

Waiting anxiously to hear from you so that we can discuss the modalities of
this transaction.

Thanks for your kind Attention and mutual understanding.
Yours faithfully, Miss. Mary Ampem.
