"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

MRS. MARIAM MUSTAPHA ABDULSALAM

29 Dean Road, Handforth Wilmslow

Cheshire SK9 3AH LONDON ENGLAND

My Dear,

I know that this message will come to you as a surprise. I am Mariam
Abdulsalam, wife of the late former Major-General in Ivory Coast . I hope
that you will not expose or betray the confidence that I am bestowing on you
for mutual interest of our families. I need your urgent assistance in the
transfer of the sum of 8 Million Eur in your account.

My husband is a LATE Major General in Ivory Coast and was shut by a militant
group following an ethnic crisis in one of the regions in the State. They
also came against me and wanted to kill me, but I was able to escape to
United Kingdom through the help of the Red Cross here in London and
presently I am here in England as an ASYLUM.

But my two children are in Ivory Coast in the custody of security agents,
which is a situation that I don't TRUST. However, I hope that they come to
your country for establishment following your assistance to retrieve the
above mentioned fund. At this point, I would need your confidence and
willingness to help my children and me in this endeavor. I am willing to
compensate you for your efforts.

Kindly let me know your response.

Best Regards

Mariam Mustapha Abdulsalam
