"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

happy to see your pictures. Dear I have to be open to you in this transacti=
on and I will appreciate if you can understand me and my situation and the =
reason why I have contacted you for asistance .
=A0
I told you that the box was deposited by my late father at the security com=
pany and the box is containing the sum of $4.5 million dollars but my fathe=
r did not disclosed the contents of the box because on the certificate he s=
tated that the contents is family valuables.=A0 You asked if there will be =
some charges to pay to the security company which the answer is yes because=
my father made some deposit but it has expired and we must pay the fee bef=
ore the box can be release to us, But that should not be problem we can see=
to it when you get in contact with the security company maybe they will co=
llect their fee after the delivery of the box to your country.
=A0
I want you to contact the security company as my foreign partner and demand=
for the release and the shipment of the box to you in your country as i wi=
ll be coming over to start a new life in your country and also complete my =
education. When you receive the box you can open it and deposit the money i=
nto your account then send me some money to process my travel to meet you i=
n your country.

Dear Karine,
I was very surprised this morning when you called me, and I guess that it w=
as difficult to understand each other because of the delay of the voice dur=
ing the call. I guess that it is ok for you too to keep in touch by e-mail,=
we'll have planty of time to talk when you'll come to my country :)
Now, I'd like to ask you some questions that I find them difficult to find =
the answer reading the documents you sent me. For example, do I have to pay=
something to this security company, do I have to give you information or i=
nstructions for payment to my receiving bank, my bank account, my SWIFT cod=
e (I don't really know what does it mean) and my IBAN number (this, too:) )=
.. These are my unanswered questions because I really can't afford to pay so=
mething to this security company, unless you send me funds to do that to my=
account, so I could do that. I don't know how clear I was explaining this =
to you, but I guess you'll understand me, and you'll explain to me what sho=
uld I do. I think that it will be easy for both of us to write me what to d=
o, step by step. As I read from your previous mail, I think that my next st=
ep into this whole situation is to contact the security company and the dir=
ector of this security company, by sending them an e-mail, but I'd
like you to tell me what to write and what to do after that. I'm a little =
bit of confused, maybe because of my bad english (it's bad, isn't it), so t=
ry to explain me what's my next move little more simplificated :)
About myself... I can tell you that I'm not married, I live alone and I'm w=
orking as a technical documentator in a museum. I'll send you my pictures a=
fter you answer me to this e-mail, because I don't have pictures of me at t=
his computer, so I'll take some pictures and send it to you in my next mail=
..
As time goes by, I feel your honesty into all of this, and I hope that toge=
ther we'll solve all of your problems, and secure you a better life, far aw=
ay from all of your problems.
I'm waiting for your answer as soon as you can,
