"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

Good day and best wishes in all your endeavors. It gives me great privileged to contact you as a chance in a possibility of soliciting with you as a foreign partner to work things out together to enhance a great diversity of funds that has been trapped down in our financial institution here in Malaysia due to untimely death of Late Mrs. Carol Hall, whom we lost due to the tragedy in the Asia tsunami disaster December 26, 2004.

A confirmation of her death you could read via the link below:

Late Mrs. Carol Hall, was a real estate business mogul, made a numbered fixed deposit of four years (4yrs), with a value of US$125,000.000 One Hundred and Twenty Five Million USD with our financial institute. Upon maturity, several notices has been sent to her without a respond. Furthermore, a two-man delegate was sent to her residence and official address as stated in her confidential file from the bank, only to find out that the real estate Mogul and her husband perished in the Tsunami disaster Asia tsunami disaster December 26, 2004.

After further investigations, it was also discovered that Mrs. Carol Hall did not declare any Next of Kin or Trustee to the deposited funds apart from her Husband who also died in the disaster. According to the banking laws here, at the expiration of three year's without any transaction on the account, the funds will confiscated, mostly if nobody applies for the claim. I am proposing to you as a foreigner to stand as Trustee to the said funds.

This funds when finally cleared to you by the bank as the Trustee/legal beneficiary through my provided contacts and transferred to any nominated bank chosen for sharing among us, I will agree to make it a 50%/50% share with you, as I am now on the verge of my retirement from the bank having served the bank for 12 years.

I strongly look forward to hear from you, as I will make every arrangement of this transaction to be 100% legal and risk free.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Regards,

Latif Farouk Lokman
