"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: {VERY IMPORTANT TRANSACTION}

Good day,

{VERY IMPORTANT TRANSACTION}

I feel quite safe dealing with you in this transaction proposal having gone through your remarkable profile on the internet. Though, this medium (Internet) has been greatly abused,but I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest medium of communication. I am in London UK working with Wales Investment Bank London.

After reading about you on the internet,I found it interesting and decided to contact you for this transaction. Be so kind to contact me at your earliest convenient for a possible business proposal involving money transfer of US$136,000.000 {One hundred and thirty six million united states dollars}. I contacted you to assist and partner with me to receive the said funds that has been trapped down in our bank here in UK due to untimely death of Late Mrs. Carol Hall, whom we lost due to the tragedy in the Asia tsunami disaster December 26, 2004. Late Mrs. Carol Hall, was a real estate business mogul who made a numbered fixed deposit of five years (5yrs), with a value of US$136M with our bank, upon maturity, several notice was sent to her without any respond. Furthermore, a two-man delegate was sent to her residence and official address as stated in her confidential file with the bank, but only to find out that the real estate Mogul and her husband
perished in the Tsunami disaster Asia tsunami disaster December 26, 2004.

A confirmation of her death you could read via the link below: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/4153821.stm

After further investigations, it was also discovered that Mrs. Carol Hall did not declare any next of Kin or trustee to the deposited funds apart from her Husband who also died with her in disaster. According to the banking rules here in UK, at the expiration of four year's without any transaction on the account, the funds will confiscated, mostly if nobody applies for the claim. I had discussed this issue privately with the Top Bank Director and he agreed to help and has instructed me to look for a foreigner who can be trusted and capable to handle this transaction so that we can secretly move this money out from UK immediately basing on Investments plans in your Country. The bank want to confiscate the funds and move it to treasury as unclaimed funds, but we cannot allow that to happen. So I am proposing to you to stand as the legal beneficiary/next of kin to the said funds, as we going to obtain all the relevant documents in your name from appropriate
authority as legal beneficiary/next of kin to funds.

As soon as the funds are transfer to your account, we will fly to meet you for sharing and investment. I will agree to share it 50/50 with you. I look forward to hear from you as we have made all the necessary arrangement for smooth transfer and I assure you 100% guaranty of success in this transaction.

Yours,

Mrs. Susan Nicholas
