"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I am soliciting for your help to claim the sum of $18. 6 million that was deposited with Union Bank Nigeria PLC by my late Foreign Partner/Investor/client  Mr. Donald Johnson who died in Plane Crash on 21st April 2005 with his entire family.

However, before his death, he deposited the sum of $18.6 million with Union Bank Nigeria PLC, due the fact that he died along with his entire family, no one has shown up or come to claim this fund, because there is no trace, expect I who was his attorney before his death. Since his death the fund has been with Union Bank Nigeria PLC unclaimed.

To this effect, I decided to contact you in other to stand and act his NEXT OF KIN of Late Mr. Donald Johnson.

Once you indicate your readiness to work with me to move this fund into your Bank account, I will give all information on how you’ll claim this fund without delay, because I have all the documents and the name of the Hospital where he died, I have the deposit Certificate etc.

I look forward to your positive response so that we can proceed further.
