"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am pleased to inform you that one of the best things that can happen to any Internet user is to be rewarded for spending money and time on the Internet. You may not have known that, over one hundred million people daily surf the Internet on regular basis for one reason or the other. These Internet users including you pay access fees to various Internet Service Providers (ISP) all over the word, which in turn remit surplus funds to the numerous World Wide Internet Technology Companies (WWITC) for the development and advancement of Global Information Technology.

So much money is generated from people like you all over the World for using
the Information Superhighway (the Internet) without your being aware the
enormous sum that go to the stake holders (WWITC). Without your patronage, this would not have been possible. World Wide Internet Technology Companies (WWITC) in partnership with MOBILEXXON OIL INTERNATIONAL, conducted a research on the issue, and the report on the research concluded that Internet users should be ompensated by an e-based promotion. As a result, we embarked on a worldwide compensation promotion with a sophisticated automated database to randomly select E-mail accounts that frequently surf the Internet. Consequent upon this, your E-mail address was picked for THE 21st YEARS ANIVERSARY CELEBRATION PROMOTION OF MOBILEXXON OIL COMPANY.

Congratulations

Signed
Donald D. Humphreys
(Senior Vice President and Treasurer)
MOBILEXXON OIL COMPANY WORLDWIDE.
