"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings from: Abdul Hussein Kadeem

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am contacting you based on trust and for some spiritual reasons and I have confidence that you

will not betray the trust I bestowed on you. I am not looking for anything else but for someone

with the fear of Allah, one who understands the spiritual implications of handling huge sum of

money meant for the purpose of building and Construction of Charity Homes for the less

priviledged. I am spiritually motivated to deal with you in this important matter, though this

medium (Internet) has been greatly abused. However, I choose to reach you through it because it

still remains the fastest medium of Communication.

My name is "Abdul Hussein Kadeem", 62 years old from Iraq. I live here in Cape Town, South Africa

and I run a Currency Trading Company and Money Exchange Bureau in Baghdad and Switzerland. I am

suffering from a long time brain cancer as a result of one of the recent bomb explosions in

Baghdad. My House/office were razed to Nothing which claimed the lives of my dear wife and my only

Son including two (2) of my staffs.

Since then, I had been living with a life support machine in a hospital here in Cape Town. As it

is now, I am writing you from my sick bed because my condition have become so critical and my

doctor has confirmed that I may not live for more than two (2) or three (3) months my time will be

up and the only option left is by means of major operation which is not guaranteed. I had gone for

my first major operation and survived it and now I need to go for another one which I may not

survive. I am not afread to die since I have nothing to live for. I am old and my family is no

more. However, Allah gives and takes.

In showing appreciation to Allah for keeping me alive up to this moment, I now decide to give part

of my wealth to Charity for those in need/less previllaged in any part of the World. The reason

for making this contact to you is to put you in position to receive and handle a US$10.9 Million

Project for charity.

The fund in question is presently in safe deposit with a Security/Finance Company in Europe. I

need to know if you can be trusted to handle this humaniterian Project So that I can give my

authorization to the finance company to effect the transfer of fund ownership to your favour

making you the beneficiary. Note that you will have a compensation of 20% of the US$10.9 Million

while the remaining 80% is to be used strictely for the purpose above mentioned.

I await your urgent response.
Yours Faithfully,

Abdul Hussein Kadeem
