"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: HEED MY CALL

I know this is certainly an unconventional approach to starting a relationship, but sincerely, this is my option of communication for now. My name is Sgt. Brian Horn; an American soldier, I served with the army's 3rd infantry division based in Baghdad, Iraq, now in Afghanistan. I am seeking your kind assistance to move the sum of 75,000,000.00 (Seventy-five million United States Dollars) to a very safe destination; as far as I can be assured that my share will be safe in your care until I complete my assignment here.

Source of Money:

While in Iraq, we discovered containers of money in different denominations in a farmhouse near one of Saddam Hussein's old palaces in Tikrit, Iraq during a rescue operation. This money has been kept somewhere outside Baghdad for some time, but with the recently proposed bill to end combat operations by president Barrack Obama – to end the suicide bombing and make peace with Iraqi militants and terrorist groups, this money may be discovered, hence we decided to move it to you for safekeeping pending
the completion of our assignment here. BELIEVE ME; IF YOU WERE IN MY BOOTS AND YOU CAME ACROSS SUCH AN OPPORTUNITY, U'D DO THE SAME SHIT. YOU WILL FIND THE STORY OF THIS MONEY ON THE WEB ADDRESS BELOW. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm

No Compensation can make up for the risks we have taken with our lives in this hell hole. Life itself is a risk anyways, but it is really bad here. I pledged when I was joining the military to defend the United States of America and her territories even if I have to die which is exactly what we here in Iraq are doing. Please note that this transaction is 100% real.

All I require is your honesty; cooperation and sincerity to enable us see this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law – this is a 100% risk free venture. Kindly indicate your interest in assisting a fellow human by providing the bellow information.

For my record so that I can know how to position myself to make sure this deal is brought to a logical conclusion without a hitch. One passionate appeal I will make to you is not to discuss this matter with anybody. Should you have reasons to reject this offer, please, please and please, destroy this message. I need you to confirm to me your percentage or how much you will take for your assistance and for the charity in your next email to me, which should be as soon as you get this email. I will settle for 20% - $15,000,000.00 – I’m not greedy.

Please excuse me if I erred by contacting you through this email account, you can forward my message to any of your preferred mailbox and reply via it for easier correspondence. I honestly want this matter to be resolved as soon as possible, so contact me immediately.

In God We Trust,

Sgt. Brian Horn
