"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I have decided to contact you for a business Proposal.

I want to front you as a beneficiary of certain some of amount which I will
reveal to you later.

Before I commence let me introduce myself, I am Dr. Eugene Aliegba,Commissioner
The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport,Benue State of Nigeria.

The fund emanated from an over-invoice payment on Contracts awarded by me to
different contractors who executed projects in My ministry.

I am afraid that the state government in conjuction with the Federal Government of Nigeria might commence investigation on contracts awarded if they discover this over-invoice payment they will Probe and confiscate all my assets both home and abroad. This will
definitely affect my political career in government.

If you know you can assist me in this transaction I humbly request that you
send me an email indicating your willingness to carry out this transaction.

Due to my sensitive position in the government I would not want you to call or send me a fax, all correspondence must be through my private email.
