"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Get Back to me.

24rd April, 2011

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is John Donald, A special trained Security Officer. I was one of the special agent guarding Mr. Karamberi Al Islam Ghadaffi;, the son of the present president of Libya.I got your contact from a reliable source at your bank. I am contacting you for an urgent assistance. As you can read and see in the media, The Ghadaffi's family is presently undergoing tough time in the hand of the masses due to his long over stay in power as the president (Libya) for the past 40 years.

Mr. Islam Ghadaffi have already called the international community, European Union to call for an investigation on things instead of taking side without proper investigation as he believes to be cleared of all alleged accusations.

Please read more: http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/75772,people,news,lse-investigates-saif-al-islam-gaddafi-over-phd-plagiarism-claims

The International community has reached a resolution for immediate seizure of Mr. Gadaffi's family assets both in US and the UK. Therefore I want to request your assistance to help me and retrieve a total sum of 20 Million US Dollars (US$20.000.000.00) which I have secretly succeeded in moving out of Libya to one of European leading Security Company’s. Your assistance will be needed in clearing it out from the company (since it was registered there as just valuable documents) You are expected to keep it in a safe place while I shall introduce you to my lawyer in the United Kingdom for further discussions towards investment as may be suggested by you once the situation in Libya is settled.

Should you be interested in helping, please contact me immediately through my direct email: jodonalds@gmail.com for more information(s) and details.

Note: We both can negotiate on the percentage when I get back a reply from you.

Finally, please this is not some stupid African scam emails. Please treat with respect and turn down my offer if you must by returning my mail. This way, I can search for other contacts.

I await your urgent reply.

With warm Regards,

Mr. John Donald
