"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My deceased client from your region who died intestate has 4.5 million US Dollars in his bank account.I have contacted you after my several efforts to locate any of the his relation without success.It does not matter whether you are related by blood or not.The documents to back up the claim as my late client next of kin will be provided by mea d made available to you and the bank.
I am sincerely seeking your assistance to facilitate the claim and payment of the money in your favor.I will give you more information on what I will require from you and what we shall do to achieve the claim and payment to you.
This is an opportunity and I desire your cooperation, trust and honesty.
Email to me your full names and telephone number, I want to call you to speak further with you on this matter.
In my efforts to contact you , I got your email address. I hope with this correspondence, we can establish good relationship as we agree to begin the claim in earnest and to meet each other soon.
