"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Greetings!! My Dear,

I am sure this mail would be coming to you as a surprise since we have never met before and you would also be asking why I have decided to chose you amongst the numerous internet users in the world. The internet has made the world global villages where you can reach anybody you have not met before.

As you read this mail, I do not want you to fill sorry for me as I believed everyone will die someday, I am Mother Judith Olivier, 65 Years old widow of Late Sir Jackman Olivier an oil merchant and a dual citizen of France and Britain who died in a Plane crash on Monday the 7th of September 1998 GMT 14:22 UK while flying from New York to Geneva. You may confirm this from this link
http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9809/swissair.victims.list/index.html

As a result to the shock from the lost of my beloved husband, I became very sick and was placed under serious medical attention. Currently, I have been diagnosed of a terminal ailment and my doctors have informed me that I cannot survive, and as such, I decided to use the remaining days of my life to render selfless services by donating all I had inherited from my late husband to charity homes, to some of the less privilege in different countries, friends and family and to several unknown individuals in different countries.

Irrespective of your previous financial status, I plead with you to accept this kind gesture as you are one of the beneficiaries of my donation. Exactly Two months ago, I deposited a bank draft valued at 5,800,000.00 British Pounds with a security keeping company to deliver to you via any Courier service as upon your contact with them, but I was unable to notify you earlier because I had a surgical operation immediately after I made the deposit and my doctor warned me to stay far from anything that emits electromagnetic rays as they are dangerous to my health type. E.g. telephone, computers etc.

Considering the draft expiration date and to avoid theft or misappropriation, I took the risk and used a computer at the hospital to notify you today so that you can urgently make contact with the security keeping company through the contact email below for the delivery of your draft to you.

You are to contact:

United Kingdom, CF31 1TF

Contact Person: Mr.Greg Ahmed

The only charges to be paid by you are £185.34 GBP only; this is the accrued security keeping Fee of the draft so far in their custody. This fee would have been paid by me, but the company insisted that I should not, since the time you will contact them is not specified and to avoid accumulated security keeping fee on the draft.

Therefore, you are to contact the company as fast as possible on receiving this email to avoid further delays. Remember to ask them to provide you with the method of paying the security keeping fee to them.

You are to also reconfirm the below information to them to avoid any mistake on
the Delivery.
