"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

We write to confirm from you if what we heard from Mr. Allan B. Gerald, about you is true or false. He came to our office last week and submitted a claim application to us while informing us that you are seriously sick and because of your illness, you signed a deed of assignment with him to claim your US$8,753M which has approved by the Federal Ministry of Finance to transfer to your account. He claimed to be your next of kin and that you authorized him and also willed him to claim your fund amounted to sum of US$8,753M. Do not hesitate to let us know if you have signed such agreement with Mr. Allan Gerald.

The fund in question is part of settlement/compensation from the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) to all Foreign Contractors those whose funds are been of unnecessary delayed, all Inheritance overdue payments, all Lotto Winners, all Dividends, Yahoo and Face-Book Lotto Winnings, Compensate and settle all the scam victims.

Your names are shortlisted among the beneficiaries that were selected to receive this fund compensation/settlement. The United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has mandated the African Development Bank (AfDB) to handle this payment to avoid the hopeless situation created by Mr. Allan B. Gerald and some corrupt officials. We hereby decided to contact you officially to find out if the information we received from Mr. Allan Gerald is truth or false. Please be informed that failure to reply back in the next 48hrs simply means that the information we receive from Mr. Allan Gerald is truth.
